F. A. Q.
We are here to answer all of your questions regarding international medical transport and to get you more familiar with questions other patients tend to ask. Our goal is to present you straightforward information so that you can use our services with full confidence.
NFZ funded medical transport can only be used by patients that have high degree of disability and it’s impossible for them to use public transport. The transport can be only allowed for the patients that are travelling to medical facility to continue their existing treatment. This can involve 2nd and 3rd visit at orthopedic department to do X-Ray scan. Another option can be free transport organised by the leading doctor which is responsible for patient’s admission.
When the treatment process is completed and the patient is about to go back home, it is important to consider using a medical transport service. The day before it is planned, that the patient will leave the ward, he/she is usually informed by the leading doctor that tomorrow the patient’s treatment will be completed. Furthermore, the doctor will assemble all necessary documentation. Then if the patient decides that it is best for their health to use medical transport provider to get back home, we’re available and ready to help.
NFZ funded medical transport is only possible when the patient’s level of moving disability is high enough that he/she is unable to use public transport. To organise free medical transport, contact the leading doctor responsible for your treatment process.
Medical transport refers to transport services in A2,A1 type ambulances carried out by 2 paramedics or doctor and 2 paramedics. MoniMed Transport provides bed to bed transport. This means we will carry the patient downstairs/upstairs, then safely transport to medical facility and return back home with the patient. Then, we will use specialised equipment to safely carry the patient upstairs to the same place we initially started from.
Same principle applies to international medical repatriations.
